Gay Girl, Good God, Jackie Hill Perry, Black girl reading outside, fruit peel,

I have been having a really hard time since Daylight Savings started. Not being outside (for more than 7 minutes without being Anna after ya know... the whole Elsa situation... Frozen) has really taken it’s toll on my mood, my motivation, my energy and creativity.

I’ve been fascinated recently with the sensory aspects of discipleship and worship and the role it plays in our ability to experience the Father in His fullness. It’s INSANE to me that something I wasn’t doing a year ago is such an integral part of how I spend time with God, experience His glory and find joy. Not to mention something that I was adamant before that I DID NOT enjoy. Turns out it was just conditional.

Today I got to sit outside. 🥰 and it was great.

“Something of God... flows into us from the blue of the sky, the taste of honey, the delicious embrace of water whether cold or hot, and even from sleep itself.”

-C.S. Lewis
